About the artist

1973-74 – Foundation Course Brighton Polytechnic; 1974 – 77 Textile design Croydon College of Art; 1993 – 99 City and Guilds in Creative textiles and Embroidery parts 1&2 – Chelsea College of Art and Design.

It was the move to Herefordshire from London with my husband in 2009 which rekindled my lost love of drawing and painting.

Many years ago I had studied textile design, and then embroidery, before being forced to abandon both to earn money for university fees for our three daughters.

Now at my leisure in Herefordshire I can fling myself into gardening and art. I am an enthusiastic gardener, and I find that things happen by accident. That is my approach to art: nothing works the same way twice. How did I do that?

The colour in my garden is my inspiration. I love to draw and I love colour. I hope my work shows this enthusiasm.
